JUDY WEBBER
A unique Non-Traditional Artist painting beyond the boundaries; showing her love of colour, technique and movement. Her creative mind has developed from extensive travel both in Australia and overseas, particularly in Italy, France, Greece, Japan and Cambodia. This has allowed her to create a wonderful range of artworks. She covers a wide spectrum of subjects from portraits, landscapes to abstract paintings, many of which are in private collections in Australia and overseas.
Painting and Drawing
My paintings are mostly oils and acrylics covering a variety of subjects which makes it more interesting and challenging.
I thoroughly enjoy delving into semi abstract paintings using different techniques, textures and a wide range of colour.
I have attended classes in Oil Painting at Templestowe, Portrait and Life Drawing Classes in Ringwood. Also, expanded my art interest in classes with Ron Reynolds (Oil, particularly in the Impressionistic Style) Michael Goff (Oil and Pastel), Craig Penny (Contemporary Art) and Wendy-Jane Sheppard (Charcoal Drawing).
Held Private Art Exhibitions in Carlton and Macleod. Artwork has been displayed in Carlton and the Mornington Peninsula. Also, exhibited paintings in various Art Exhibitions in Victoria.
Winner of Lifestyle Gallery ' Living the Dream RAS 2018 Exhibition with oil painting titled "Parisienne Dream, Art, Culture, Fashion". Also, Winner of the Ringwood Art Society Non Traditional Paintings for 2011 and 2012 and has won various prizes.
Awarding Scholarships/Travel Grants and Prizes
As Administrator of The Graeme Hildebrand Foundation for the past 11 years in awarding Scholarships/Travel Grants and Prizes to young developing artists who would benefit from funding for tuition or travel, it was decided to organise a "Grand Finale" in late 2017. Graeme Hildebrand (Artist/Builder/Member, Ringwood Art Society) had generously bequeathed $100,000 to motivate and encourage young Artists to fulfill their dream in the world of art.
The 2017 Graeme Hildebrand Prize and Exhibition displayed wonderful creative artwork at the red gallery, Fitzroy North. Substantial Prizes in Five Categories, Commendations and an Encouragement Award were presented. It was a wonderful and very successful event. In excess of the $100,000 has been awarded to young Victorian Artists, many of whom are successful artists and tutors.
It was an honour and privilege to work with the GHF Team (Chaired by Philip Connor) and Judging Panel (Lead by Colin Johnson) to fulfill Graeme's wishes and legacy.
I wish all young Artists every success in the world of art.
